The blade, ground on both sides, is made of VG MAX steel with a hardness of 61 (±1) HRC and is sheathed in 32 layers of Damascus steel. This combination ensures the long-lasting sharpness and durability of the blade.

The Shun Classic White series with its six selected blade shapes and bright ash wood coloured handle is now an integral element of the Shun Classic series. The result are kitchen knives, which have been perfected to the smallest detail and consistently designed for continual sharpness - ideal for professional use. The Shun Classic White series received the German Design Award 2021.
