The Gyuto (牛刀) is the Japanese equivalent of the chef knife, nimble and well-balanced for a comfortable grip, able to cut anything except bones and frozen food.
Whether you are right-handed or left-handed, the round pakkawood handle, polished by hand, allows you to cook with confidence thanks to a firm and comfortable grip offering superior control and a smooth cutting experience with each use. The hidden full tang extends all the way to the bottom of the handle - for superior durability and balance.
The 440C steel of the Pakka range contains twice as much carbon as other premium steels. The blade, heat treated to HRC 60 +/- 1 hardness, keeps its razor-sharp edge cut after cut.
