The Nakiri knife is a Japanese style vegetable knife that looks like a smaller and slimmer version of a meat cleaver. Featuring a large rectangular shape with a very sharp edge; the Nakiri blade is the best tool for cutting large vegetables such as aubergine, squash and pumpkin. The design of the Nakiri knife shape and straight edge enables great ease when chopping without the need to rock the knife back and forth, just a single chop through the vegetable to the board.
