KAI is one of Japan's largest and most respected knife makers, producing cutlery in the tradition of the samurai swordsmiths for over 115 years. Founded as a family business in Seki, Japan's historic knife capital, in 1908, KAI has grown into an international company while keeping ancient blacksmithing craft at the heart of what it does. The result is a huge range of kitchen knives that pair centuries-old Japanese technique with modern materials and manufacturing, from affordable everyday blades to premium Damascus knives that are as beautiful as they are sharp.
